Erzurum Caferiye Mosque
Erzurum Cafaria Mosque is located on Republic Street, and it was built in 1645 AD by Hacı Cafer, to be the first mosque in that region. Its three hidden domes were revealed under a slanted roof supported by four columns, open from the front and sides. The interior of the mosque, covered with a single dome resting on pendentives at the corners, is mirrored from the outside by an octagonal pulley with three stages. Today, the mosque is one of the most important religious monuments in the city of Erzurum.
