The Kuwaiti island of Failaka is located in the Arabian Gulf, specifically in the northern part of it. It includes many remnants of ancient villages, walls and castles dating back to the Mesopotamian civilization, as it was in the past a settlement point for the army of Alexander the Great. It also contains a museum that displays aspects of life in Kuwait in The twentieth century, and is famous for the heritage houses dating back to the fifties of the twentieth century, which suffered a lot of damage during the second Gulf War. The island is characterized by a mild climate in winter and hot in summer, and its landscapes vary between coarse sand beaches, gardens distributed throughout, and majestic palm trees.
