Description of the place
The Festungsbahn funicular was opened in 1892, and serves as a unique means of transportation to reach one of the largest medieval castles in Europe (Hösalzburg Castle), which dates back to the eleventh century. The train also provides a stunning view of the Salzburg region and the beautiful rooftops of the city, and at Reaching the final destination of the train you will find one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the entire region.
