Finchale Priory

Remains of a 13th-century abbey located in a bend of the River Wear and managed by English Heritage Durham. The monastery provides visitors with a wonderful unparalleled view, and you can spend hours wandering inside and outside the monastery to get to know more about this historical place. There are paths equipped for walking by the river, and the site also includes a small café specialized in making various drinks, and it is a suitable place for families and large groups.
