The Phoenix Archaeological Park is an archaeological excavation site for an ancient Greek city located next to the village of Phoenix near the city of Saranda. In the past, Phoenix was the capital of the Greek Kaunian tribe, and due to its strategic location and economic development, it played an important strategic role from a political and administrative perspective. Today you can find a unique collection of monumental buildings dating back to the 5th century BC and the 5th and 6th centuries AD, including the baptistery, basilica and fortifications on the adjacent hill.
