Description of the place
Al-Sharif Fort or Samtah Fort is considered one of the most important archaeological monuments in Jizan, and it is located in the southwest of the city of Samtah in the Jazan region. It was built by Muhammad bin Abu Talib bin Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Khairat in the month of Ramadan in the year 1249 AH, and it consists of two floors. Ali Makrami in 1333 AH.
