Perched on a rocky outcrop in the heart of the Pointe de Gift nature reserve, overlooking the picturesque Meuse River and its surroundings, Fort Charlemont was built by Charles V to defend the borders of the Ardennes and converted into a commando post in 1963. Today, visitors can Climb into this ancient fort and explore over 400 years of history through the underground galleries or the Headquarters Hospital, as well as enjoying the enchanting view of the city of Gift and the landscapes of the Meuse Valley.
