Fort St. Agatha is a defensive stone tower with a diameter of 20 meters and a height of 13 meters. It was built in 1531 on top of a hill overlooking the small town of Hyères to protect the coast and port from frequent attacks by pirates. It originally housed a large artillery battery, but now includes an observation deck. and a small exhibition dedicated to the history of Porquerolles, and hosts the activities of Port Croce National Park.
