notable and preserved city landmark, Fort York National Historic Site covers 43 acres and is home to a collection of buildings dating back to 1812 AD and the war in which British soldiers, First Nations warriors, and Upper Canadian militias banded together against the United States to take possession of Toronto also hosts the Fort York Guard Festival every year.
