Forth Road Bridge
The Fourth Road Bridge is one of the distinctive landmarks in the city of Edinburgh and one of the most important suspension bridges in the world. It extends over the Firth of Forth and continues south of Queensferry in Edinburgh in the Fife region in northern Queensferry. It is 1006 meters long and was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. In 1964, it was at that time the longest suspension bridge in the world outside the United States.
