Gaoutabty Dolmen
The Gotabati Dolmen is one of the largest monuments in the Var region. It was discovered in 1876 and excavated several times. It is a mass grave containing charred human bones belonging to at least 34 individuals, accompanied by offerings (pottery, flint tools and pearls). The rich relics are only a reflection of the two periods of the end of the Neolithic period (2800 years BC) and the beginning of the Chalcolithic period (2000 years BC), and it has been classified as a historical monument since 1988.
