Gran Via is nicknamed the "Great Street" and is an urban square in the center of Madrid. It leads from Alcalá Street to Plaza de España. It is also sometimes referred to as "Spanish Broadway". It is one of the most important shopping areas in the city, as it includes a large number of Hotels, stores, and large cinemas, and many of these theaters have been replaced by shopping centers, and it is a display of architecture from the early twentieth century.
