The Grand Mosque is one of the largest and most famous mosques in the city of Gaziantep and one of the most important places of worship in the region, as it is located in the largest garden in Turkey, and on special nights, the mosque recalls the most important memories of Gaziantep and the history of building the Grand Mosque through important teachers, professors and scholars, and it is said that It belongs to the Mamluk period before the Ottoman era, and the oldest inscription in it indicates that it was restored by Haji Khalil Effendi in 1388, and there are 11 other inscriptions about repairs, and although the building has been repaired and restored several times throughout history, it is still retains its original shape.
