Description of the place
One of the most important landmarks in Valletta is the Palazzo Masterial which was the residence of the Grand Master. It currently houses the office of the President of the Republic of Malta. The construction of the palace dates back to between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. The building was planned and built on a grid plan, to include squares and government buildings.
