Description of the place
Built in the 1940s and located on Mount Victoria, the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation is one of very few Greek Orthodox churches in Wellington. It is a distinctive Byzantine-kabbinical church erected on the Greek Orthodox Church that was consecrated to the Virgin Mary in 1970 by Metropolitan Dionysios Psiachas.
