Gumuslu Mosque

Despite the fires and earthquakes, this beautiful mosque that has been rebuilt and restored is located on a small hill overlooking the Government Bridge, overlooking Yavuz Selim Square. The mosque built by Taşettin Mahmud Çili was repaired after a massive fire. There is an upper floor reserved for ladies and the exit staircase is narrow and winding. The mosque is very well placed combining history and beauty. It is very simple and not excessively decorated like the new mosques, and is characterized by its cleanliness and excellent maintenance.
