The Hungarian Museum of Technology, Mining and Transport is located in an old industrial building with a long history. The aim of the museum is to present the history of metallurgy, to preserve holdings and documents related to industry that played an important role in the development of human civilization. The first permanent exhibition was held in 1960 in the research house Ironworks in Diosgir, and then a new permanent exhibition opened in 1970 in an original Baroque house in 1770 under the direction of Fazola Henrik. The museum's material has since grown considerably to include a scale model of tools and equipment, as well as works of folk and applied art. documents and manuscripts on metallurgical construction in Hungary, research materials and a number of documents related to applied arts technology.
