The Ibrahim River originates from the cave of Afqa and the spring of Aqoura, and descends steeply until it empties into the Mediterranean Sea, 6 km south of Jbeil, with a length of 30 km and a basin area of approximately 321 square km. The river extends along many Lebanese regions and cities and feeds them, and it contains very important antiquities from its source to its estuary. With its environmental wealth along its path that cuts through the valley separating the countries of Jbeil and Keserwan.
