Independence Mosque

The Tahrir Mosque was built in 1892 as the Church of the Virgin Mary, and this building that was used as a church and a prison was converted into a mosque at a later time, and this historical treasure has not lost anything of its former glory, and it is considered one of the largest mosques in Gaziantep, and its interior is divided It is divided into three parts with columns perpendicular to the altar, and the middle of the main room contains a round ball and a very high dome, and on the walls made of cut stone, there are pointed arches in the first two rows and round windows in the upper row, and the structure reflects the Gothic style with its main lines.
