Name of the place
International Slavery Museum
International Slavery Museum
It is an international museum that tells the history of the slave trade and slaves. The museum tells the stories of millions of people both past and present who were subjected to slavery, particularly those who were part of the transatlantic slave trade between 1500 and 1865, as Liverpool was the largest port for slavery and so it is fitting that the museum was established in Liverpool. The museum is on the third floor of the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and admission is free.
