Description of the place
Mount Al-Makmal is an extension of the western Lebanon mountain range. It is the highest mountain in Lebanon, and the highest peak in the Levant is located on it. It is Qurna Aswad, with an altitude of 3093 meters above sea level. Snow covers this mountain in the winter, and it remains in some areas throughout the year.
