Kale-i-Bala

Kale-i-Bala Castle, or as it is called Pharos Castle, is one of the most important archaeological sites in Ayder, which is believed to belong to the fourteenth century. The castle was characterized by a rectangular building on a steep cliff, with an average building length of 70 meters and a width of 25 meters. The castle gate is located in the northwest direction. Today, some remnants of the stone castle stand witness to its antiquity, and to the antiquity of this city.
