Description of the place
The Karl Marx Monument is located in the heart of the city and its vital center. It was built by the Russian sculptor Lev Kerbel, in honor of the famous German philosopher and historian. The height of this distinctive statue is more than 13 meters, and it weighs about 40 tons. On its back wall there is a written saying in four languages; German, English, French and Russian, it reads "Workers of the world, unite!"
