Name of the place
Kfarmatta Silk Mill
Kfarmatta Silk Mill
The Kfarmatta factory is a place that was used to produce raw natural silk in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and nothing remains of this factory except for ruins and some walls and columns. The landmark is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in the Mount Lebanon region, because the building's architecture is majestic, and because it is a witness to the most important period in the history of Lebanon, when the economy was booming and the markets were flourishing. It is not preferable to enter the building because it is dilapidated and may fall at any moment, but visitors come to explore it from the outside.
