Description of the place
Konetsburg Castle is located in the Countess district of Jena. It is the ruins of an old castle believed to have been built around the year 1100 AD. It is located on top of a hill 300 meters above sea level. It was previously called Glisberg Castle. Today, only one wall remains of the castle. Tourists come here to see the remaining ruins of the castle, learn about its history, and enjoy the wonderful view of the city.
