Livraria Lello

Livraria Lello is a library of exceptional historical and architectural value, and is considered one of the most beautiful attractions in the world for its unique historical and artistic value. It is located in the city center of Porto, and its origins go back to 1881 when the brothers José and António Lello opened an institution in the avenue do Nearby Almada is dedicated to the publishing and selling of books. The current bookshop was opened in 1906. Its Gothic-style façade differs from the surrounding urban landscape. Inside, there is an abundance of imposing shelves and ceilings. The library's motto is "Decus in labore" (Dignity in labor, in Latin).
