Madonna del Sasso

wonderful church to which Christians once went on pilgrimage. The church was founded in 1480, rebuilt in 1616, and renovated in the 19th century. This impressive church overlooks Lake Maggiore. And you find many works of art in it, most notably a work of art called “Flight to Egypt”, which is a distinctive painting painted by the artist Bramantino in 1536. In the church you also find a small museum with an impressive collection of ecclesiastical art and manuscripts.
