Maplelawn Garden

Maplelon Park is one of the most distinctive parks in Ottawa, and is a rare example of a park that has been preserved since the 19th century AD. In 1993, a group of volunteers met as friends of the garden with the aim of preserving and rehabilitating the garden and discovered a great variety of perennials still thriving within its walls, such as the ancient peonies for which the garden was once famous. It is noteworthy that the garden still receives volunteers daily to take care of it, and it is characterized by the ease of walking around and enjoying it, with many benches and different flowers.
