Matadero Madrid

Matadero Madrid is a former slaughterhouse built at the beginning of the twentieth century on the banks of the Manzanares River. The building as a whole is a stunning architectural masterpiece of Mudéjar art. It has become nowadays one of the most important cultural centers in Madrid. It includes a contemporary arts center that hosts distinguished exhibitions, a theater complex, and a large cultural center, along with Cineteca, the first and only cinema in Madrid that focuses on non-fiction films, and many other facilities and exhibitions.
