Description of the place
The seaside village of Mevagisey has always been of great importance among other villages and towns in Cornwall for its fishing, trading and navigation activities, with its port still to this day one of the most active in the county. Tourists usually come to see the fishermen's boats and go on a tour of them, and to visit the exhibitions and art workshops that are abundant in them.
