Montcornet Castle
Montcornet Castle is considered one of the most important remains of medieval fortifications in the Ardennes region. It was built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries by the first inhabitants. In 1446, Antoine I de Croy repurchased the castle and rebuilt it almost completely. It has been listed as a historical monument by the French Ministry of Culture since 1926, and today it is possible to explore its ancient walls and see its exhibition, which includes artifacts extracted from the castle grounds, such as keys, coins, pottery, bones, etc.
