Monument Park

The memorial garden is a picturesque garden in the heart of Afyon and is dedicated to embracing the Great Victory Monument designed by the famous Austrian sculptor Heinrich Krippel between 1934 and 1936. It depicts two men in battle and one defeats the other, symbolizing the Turkish victory against the enemy. The park is opposite the Victory Museum, which was once the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and which now operates as a military and war museum.
