Mosque of Amr ibn al-As
The Mosque of Amr ibn al-Aas is considered the first mosque built in Egypt and in all of Africa in the year 642, and it is located specifically east of the Nile. It was built in the city of Fustat, which was founded by Muslims in Egypt after its conquest. The mosque was burned during the Crusade in Egypt in the year 564 AH, then Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi ordered the rebuilding of the mosque again in 568 AH.
