The Mosque of Prince Fakhr al-Din or Deir al-Qamar Mosque is a mosque located in the beautiful Lebanese town of Deir al-Qamar. The construction of the mosque is attributed to Prince Fakhr al-Din al-Ma’ani I in the year 1493. This mosque is considered one of the most important landmarks of the region because it is the oldest mosque in the Mount Lebanon region and one of the oldest mosques in Lebanon in general. . The mosque is distinguished by its magnificent architecture, as there is an octagonal minaret that can be reached via a ladder consisting of fifty steps, and inside the mosque there are majestic engineering drawings, arches, a high ceiling, and others.
