The Archeology Museum displays prehistoric, classical and medieval artifacts, and displays the museum's collections in the Green Palace Library located on the first floor. You can visit it to explore the last 10,000 years of Durham, as you will see the lives of the people who lived in Durham through the tools and everyday objects they used and the art and architecture they left behind. During your visit to the museum, you will see prehistoric pieces found by chance at the end of this century, Roman ruins discovered by Victorian archaeologists, and medieval objects found during archaeological excavations in the 1970s.
