Museum of the Guanajuato People

The Guanajuato People's Museum is located in the old Marqués de Rayas house of an archaeological character. It was opened as a museum in 1979 AD, and has since included the best forms of expression of popular culture. Among its collection is an important collection of miniatures, artifacts, representative painting, and many pieces that testify to the historical and artistic wealth of the city of Guanajuato. The museum also contains the José Chávez Morado Room, which displays religious works of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as traditional pictures.
