The Wall Painting Museum of the Central Cultural Fund is located in the King Maha Vihara Rangiri Building in Dambulla. It was inaugurated on November 16, 2003. Its purpose is to allow visitors to view and study the murals that have been uncovered by the Dambulla Project through surveys and research conducted since In 1991, the paintings are displayed under the slogan “The Evolution of the Sri Lankan Cave and Wall Paintings”, and it also aims to preserve the paintings that were damaged by natural effects and insects.
