The Uriel Lazar Memorial Museum is located in the house of the Lazăr family, which was built in the last years of the nineteenth century. This house has a special historical value, because in one of its rooms the Declaration of Independence of the Romanians was signed, which includes the independence of the lands of Transylvania, Banat, Krishana and Maramures from the Austro-Hungarian Empire On October 12, 1918, and in 1989 the building entered the public heritage as a historical monument, and after extensive restoration work, the Aurel Lazare Museum was opened in it, which houses a private collection consisting of original furniture, pieces of art, books and family photographs, all belonging to the family of the illustrious politician Aurel Lazare (Aurel Lazar).
