Myndos Gate

One of the historical finds made while searching for the remnants of Halicarnassus, this gate is the last remaining piece of King Mausolus' once mighty fortress walls, and it wraps around the ancient city for seven kilometres. For tourists there are plenty of small ruins nearby, including a scattering of tombs and mosaic fragments left at the site, as well as scattered remains of a moat from the fourth century BC. None of these remains in themselves are a wow factor, but together, they make for a great time exploring.
