Nairn Street Cottage
The oldest original country house in Wellington, this is a Place of Historical and Cultural Significance dating back to 1858 and representative of the late Georgian style. Almost everything inside the hut dates back to the period between 1850-1880 AD. Built by hand from local New Zealand wood by William Wallis, this museum, which was originally a house owned by Sir William, includes many collectibles that tell the story of the Wallis family who lived in this hut for three generations. Among these holdings: pieces of furniture, utensils, statues, games, some paintings, a piano, etc., surrounded by a garden full of trees and flowers. Do not hesitate and visit it with your family and friends and enjoy seeing what this unique museum contains!
