The National Monument (Togo Negara) was established in 1966 in memory of the "soldiers" who fell during the struggle for freedom for independence in Malaysia, and it became a symbol of freedom as it represents the soldiers who fell during World War II when Japan occupied this part of southeast Asia, and is widely known for being one of the largest bronze statues in the world.
