The National Mosque of Malaysia, also known as Masjid Negara, is located in the northwest part of the old railway station, a few hundred meters towards the end of the Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin area in Kuala Lumpur. It is a symbol of Islam nationwide, and extends over an area of 13 acres. It can accommodate up to 15,000 people, and reminds its visitors of the Grand Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as the main prayer hall in it consists of 48 small domes, and its building is characterized by abstract shapes and geometric lattice integrated into its ceilings and ironwork, and that the Great Hall is undoubtedly the most complex part of the mosque All its walls are decorated with verses from the Qur’an.
