The Edinburgh Castle Gallery traces the military history of Scotland from the 17th century to the present day. Within the historical setting of Edinburgh Castle, accounts of battles lost and won are told, as are military artefacts and a collection of personal effects. When you visit the museum you will learn about the lives of the Scots in the war, from the trenches of the First World War to the home front, and you will learn how the conflicts both at home and abroad that helped to shape the image and reputation of Scotland over the centuries.
