The city of Fouga has been distinguished throughout history by its industry and commercial importance, as it was the first exporter of many crops, and accordingly many mills were established that facilitated their work for citizens, it is known that there were 24 windmills in the city at the beginning of the twentieth century, and there were also windmills At Cape Fener, during mill repair work, it was observed that the conical surfaces of the mills were covered with sheets of lead. Today, three windmills stand on the city hill, where the ruins of the ancient theater lie, and were used by the Greeks and Turks in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
