The Monument of Honor is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city of Samsun and is located in Ataturk Park located in the Kadam district of Samsun. The monument symbolizes the point where Mustafa Kemal went to Samsun to the beginning of the War of Independence. Austrian sculptor Heinrich Krippel designed this monument in Vienna and continued his work for about 3 years and was built on a pedestal on October 29, 1931. You can see this distinctive landmark in the middle of the garden among trees and flowers.
