Description of the place
Orhan Mosque was built in 1332 by Prince Gazi Suleiman Pasha and named after his father, Orhan Gazi. It is located on a hill overlooking the entire city of Izmit. This valuable work that was built in the region after the conquest of Izmit is considered a symbol of conquest, and the mosque building that we see today It is the result of the reform carried out by order of Sultan Abd al-Majid in 1843.
