Palazzo Mirto House Museum
Located in the historic center of Palermo, the museum is housed in the building of a historic palace that was home to the aristocratic Filangeri family for four centuries. The palace consisted of a series of lavishly decorated "public" rooms in terms of walls adorned with silk curtains and tapestries, as well as various works of art from frescoes and sculptures. The palace also houses a Chinese living room created during the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum attracts visitors to view the works of art it displays from paintings, drawings and sculptures, and to learn about the details of aristocratic life during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
