Description of the place
Built in 1882 as a replica of the greenhouse at Kew Gardens in London, Palmenhouse was the largest of its kind in the world when completed. Inside is a veritable forest of plants from all over the world such as the Mediterranean, temperate and tropical climates, including a 1.2-meter water lily, a 350-year-old olive tree, and the Australian willemi pine from the age of the dinosaurs.
