Parc Monceau
This beautiful garden - which has inspired many artists in many famous paintings - was created in the 18th century by Philippe Igaletti, cousin of Louis XVI and father of King Louis Philippe I. The garden drawings were modified one last time by the engineer Alphand, the architect Daviud and the gardener Barillette Deschamps, who worked under the orders of Baron Haussmann. And in 1861 Napoleon III was finally able to open the garden we know today.
