Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park includes the ruins of the ancient city of Ayutthaya in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Thailand. This city was founded by King Ratibodhi I in 1351 and then captured by the Burmese in 1569. Although its ruins were not looted, many valuable pieces of art were lost throughout history. Today, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to more than a dozen ancient Buddhist temples.
